I purchased a new WD 3TB Blue Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 5400 RPM SATA 6 Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD30EZRZ from Amazon to install as a secondary internal harddrive to my already running 500GB SSD that is in my week old PC build. The PC picks up Disk 0 but it states as unknown and not initialized. How do I fix this?

I don't think the drive is faulty, or the wiring is poor since the PC does pick up the drive.. I just want it to work.

Solution
Probably a good idea to initialize it, yes? Perhaps even a good idea for you to perform a Google search on initializing, partitioning, and formatting a new 3 TB HDD, yes?

Good ideas, if I hadn't already have done that. I ended up calling WD support and discovered that it was a malfunctioning drive. Returning it for a new one once I can.
