ok so i recently purchased a new heat sink from amazon.it is a DeepCool 12cm Fan CPU Cooler Heatsink quiet for Intel LGA775/1156/1155 AMD FM2/AM2 2+/AM3. now before that i was using a stock heat sink that died on me. when i got my new sink is was amazing, I had never seen my cpu run so cool. im talking like 32-37F yes Fahrenheit NOT Celsius. but now after to weeks my cpu is running really hot around 98f and at max before crash, up to 135F. to the point i cannot play any of my games because the pc crashes after 4-7 minutes. i am running CoreTemp 1.3 to keep track of my cpu temp and sure how to post a image of current temp. the heat sink was installed properly with proper amount of thermal paste. the paste i used was Arctic Silver 5 AS5-3.5G Thermal Paste
my pc specs are as follows if it helps
..

OS:Windows 10 pro 64-bit(10.0,build 10586)

CPU:AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb Quad-Core 3.4
GHz Socket AM3 125W HDZ965FBGMBOX Processor

GPU:ASUS GeForce GTX 750Ti GDDR5 2GB Graphics Card GTX750TI-OC-2GD5

PSU:CORSAIR CX series CX430 430W 80 PLUS BRONZE Active PFC ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply

MOBO:ASRock 970 EXTREME3 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Well if the setup is the same. Then either your fans on your case may not be working like they used to, the fans on the heat sink have already begun to become faulty or you have a piece of malware on your computer causing your computer to use more resources than normal.

To run 32-37F is impossible unless your ambient temperature is lower than 32F or you are using liquid nitrogen. Your crashing should not be related to your CPU because your CPU's thermal limit is 71C or 159.8F. More likely it is your GPU that is overheating and causing you to crash.

For reference, my Ivy Bridge i7 4820k Quad Core at 4.5ghz is running 34C which is 93.2F. I use liquid cooling, so to see between 98-135F on air cooling...it is quite remarkable.

i got my temperature readings from Core Temp 1.3. so im not sure how accurate they are. but that is what they are saying .im not sure what to do at this point. also would it be a good idea to maybe replace the thermal paste on my GPU if it could be causing the crashes ?

Thermal paste won't help your GPU, actually taking it apart can damage it. Don't take it apart. Turn up your fan settings for your card. Use a program like MSI Afterburner it will allow you to change the fan speed which could be causing your crashing.http://download.msi.com/uti_exe/vga/MSIAfterburnerSetup.zip

Here are the tutorials to use to get to know MSI Afterburner.

afterburner and precsisionX are both reading my GPU temp is at 84 Fahrenheit and Core temp 1.3 is still saying temp is at 115 Fahrenheit. so im not sure what to do from here. oh and thats all with my fans at max speed. and i have a liquid cooling kit to put in my pc , just waiting for the coolant to get here

What case do you have housing all these components? How many exhaust and intake fans do you have running on the case?
