Cannot Connect to DNS Server - University IT Guys Stumped

I'm back in college and the first thing I do is connect my computer to the internet like any good tom'sHARDWARE nerd would do. The problem is, every hour or so (depending on how long the lease is) my internet will get dropped.

Here's the gist of it...

I realize that I cannot get a secure connection on Ethernet so I contact the IT guys on campus and they forward my ticket to the telecommunications group. They've been having issues ever since the semester started and haven't changed anything from last year. I was in a different dorm last year and it worked fine. My computer and components haven't changed and my networking settings haven't changed either.

Things that I have tried doing:
1.) Delete and reinstalled updated networking drivers
2.) Change Windows Firewall settings to Default
3.) Tried three different cables
4.) More stuff that I can't think of right now

The problem is that their DHCP server tries to get my computer to renew the lease and somewhere there is a bit that is getting denied and I can't get connection to the DNS server. One of their guys came over and helped me out. He enabled an option on the port to have a switch so I could use multiple devices if I wanted to and it worked for a while...up until I turned my computer off and then back on. He was confused because the typical fixes that they have done for everybody else didn't work on my machine. He went back and talked to the DHCP manager at my university and they viewed the logs. The logs showed that the computer initially connected to .80 and when the request came in to renew the lease it wanted to change to .207. In their database they saw my computer on both IP addresses and my computer remained on .80. Restarting my computer seems to disable their fix and disconnecting and reconnecting the cable fixes it until it wants to renew the lease.

I can include my ipconfig logs if needed, but if anyone has anything that they think would be helpful it would be greatly appreciated! They don't have any other fixes. I can use wireless in the meantime but Ethernet is my preferred choice (for obvious reasons).

Solution
Your computer should be really getting the same IP it did before, the MAC should be registered with the switch and the DHCP server, it should not change unless someone reboots the switch or resets the DHCP settings. Does not seem the issue is with the computer, but starting at the switch and going to the DHCP server. Maybe have them configure a new port on the switch for you, have them delete your records from DNS and DHCP and check things after that.

So wireless works fine without any problems? You may want to provide the make/model of the computer and/or network adapter. Also, post an ipconfig when wired and another when wireless.

Try an ipconfig/release and check ipconfig to be sure no address is assigned, then ipconfig/renew to check if the same address was assigned and if connectivity is restored.

I included my system information and the ipconfig logs below. I flushed my DNS and released and renewed and it worked last night but when I turned my computer back on it went back to normal. The same thing happened when they tried their fix. It worked until I turned my computer on and off. The network works with my roommates computer which has similar specs. At one point one of the ports didn't work on either of our computers but I fixed that and they checked the health of the port.

If you need anything else let me know!

I don't see anything obvious in the ipconfig that might be an issue. The strange thing (from your original post) is that 2 different IP addresses showed up in the database for your computer.

Maybe just a shot in the dark, but I might suggest changing the MAC address on your wired interface.

Maybe just reverse the last octet if you want to keep things simple. (from 1C-87-2C-B1-6F-E9 to 1C-87-2C-B1-6F-9E)

edit: guide http://www.howtogeek.com/192173/how-and-why-to-change-your-mac-address-on-windows-linux-and-mac/

Your computer should be really getting the same IP it did before, the MAC should be registered with the switch and the DHCP server, it should not change unless someone reboots the switch or resets the DHCP settings.
