My i7 4790 Quad Core acts like a single core CPU when it comes to gaming, it lags ever so often when rendering something and games like Minecraft of CS:GO sometimes crash can someone help please?

1| We won't be able to give you a tailored advice devoid of your full system's specs and your OS.
2| Have you made sure your BIOS as well as your chipset, MEI and GPU drivers are all up to date?
3| Since your thread was posted in the memory section did you add ram to come to this issue with your system? If so what was your old(set of) ram and what is your new(set of) ram?
