I spilled a small bit of tea ontop of my desktop and a little bit got on the power button and now my computer wont turn on, please help, i dont think it was enough to get onto the motherboard but could it be that i need a new power button?

There are a set of pins which you connect the power and HDD lights as well as the power and reset buttons - as the layout is not standard and can vary, I suggest you refer to the motherboard's manual.

Can you still power up the system by shorting the PWR pins on the motherboard's front panel connectors? If so, the power button might have been affected.
 
It sounds like from what you describe the power button should be the only thing impacted. Those are pretty simple switches that either create or close a circuit. I would try it out again after a few hours pass and see if just letting the water in tea evaporate fixes the issue.
