Hi, I'm pretty lost when it comes to motherboards and cpu coolers. I don't really plan on overclocking but want the option down the road for when the cpu starts to fade. I just researched a cooler for i7 6700K and chose that one with that motherboard but I'm not sure if it's decent. Does this motherboard allow me to overclock? Any recommendations for mobo/cpu cooler would be great (or any other parts), Thanks!

PS: most intensive thing I'll be doing is gaming/streaming

Solution
1060 performs ~20% better. better optimized for newer APIs like Vulcan and DX12, runs cooler and consumes less power.
In case of 6GB version has significantly more vRAM that will allow to run any game on ultra settings.
Well, this (Asus Z170-A) MB is actually very good.
The Asus Z170 Pro Gaming is also very good (different color and slightly better audio)
Regarding the cooler - http://pcpartpicker.com/product/46tCmG/noctua-cpu-cooler-nhd14 one of the best air coolers.
I have noticed that you selected GTX 960. It is kinda "weak" card for gaming.
for your build:
GTX 1060 6GB - for 1080p@60Hz monitor
GTX 1070 - for 1080p@@144Hz or 1440p monitor
GTX 1080 - for 1440p@144Hz or higher res monitor

Yeah $ is an issue so I had that in there, I'll probably go with a GTX 970 though. 1070's are minimum 500$ and 1080 min are 800$ CAD so I'm not spending that much on one. Seriously I look at video's comparing 960 and 970 and I cannot tell the difference, I just want something that looks good.

I don't have any of this nor a monitor yet. I would prefer to have 1080p. The cheapest 970 for me is just under $400, 960 is like $250, I've watched many videos of comparisons and I honest to god can barely tell any difference, I'm sure there is probably in person but really it looks good either way. I would like to have the better though it's why I'm leaning towards a 970.

For the 1080p a GTX 1060 3GB or 6GB would be very great - supposed to be priced at 250-300$
the point is frame rate. on high settings the 970 and 1060 will do 60 or higher -this results in much more fluid picture. they will also have higher minimum frame rate that prevents stuttering.

Ok I'll have to look into the 1060's vs the 970's I guess. Can you tell me the simple big differences between the two? I'm assuming the 1060 is just the newer version which is more efficient, etc.?
