Good Morning,

Recently my wife's computer keeps crashing. I purchased it for and mostly use it for gaming. On occasion, it crashes. When it restarts after a crash I keep getting an error that reads, "Disk Boot Failure, Insert System Disk and Press Enter"

I don't have a system disk as all the software was preloaded on the computer when I got it. If I shut it down by the power button on the front of the machine and then turn it back on, the error goes away the machine runs smoothly.

I have searched this issue on the forums and other areas, but I'm not finding a situation that is similar to mine. The system is Windows 10. I'm not sure what other info you may need.

Thank you for a reply. I ran the health check on my hard drive, as you suggested. No Errors Found.

Just a little more back story. This computer is my wifes and she has had it for about 15 months. This problem is new and apparently started happening after a blue screen of death crash during a Windows Update. The update got to about 92% when it happened. When she tried to power up, it crashed an additional few times and finally "went away" (her words). She doesn't know if the computer ever finished the update or not. It's the only additional information she has given me.

I tried do a system restore, but for whatever reason there are no restore points to select. I'm a bit frustrated by this.
