Internet keeps cutting out, but I'm still connected to my router?

To clarify, I never had issues with this on Windows 7. So I just upgraded to Windows 10, and every minute or so in multiplayer games it will disconnect for about three seconds then reconnect. It never disconnects from my wifi it just doesn't send data back and forth every couple minutes. It's super annoying and I can't figure out what's causing it, but it's not my router as I'm not having issues with any othe device.

What I've tried:
-Updating Wifi Adapter drivers
-Updating Motherboard USB drivers
-Unchecked "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"

This isn't a particularly good answer, but this is why I really dislike USB adapters. I find they are rarely reliable and they usually don't perform very well even if they do work. I'd consider getting a PCIe adapter instead, as those tend to work much better in my experience.

Otherwise, for troubleshooting, we could first try to see if its a hardware issue. You can try to see if the adapter works properly on another PC, and check Device Manager to see if anything is awry. It is likely this is a software issue, though, and networking is unfortunately not my strongest suit.

any specific game or all games?

have you tried using a different usb port?

does it show you have 4 bars of signal strength?(if not then try to improve it) two or less will result in small amounts of data loss which is a big deal in multiplayer games because it cause game to resync

I had no problems in Windows 7, and I'm able to stream with my net. It's a software issue, but like I said I already messed around in device manager :/

Well the game I use to test is Battlefront but it did the same thing in Insurgency. And yeah my net is perfectly fine aside from the occasional disconnect.

I've stopped using the desktop extension and we'll see how it works out.
