Greetings you wonderful people. I've been tasked with creating a budget PC for around $600 to replace an outdated laptop.

The focus for the machine is performance per dollar - the most intensive game the user plays is GTA V (hopefully at high settings - 1080p @60Hz).

All parts will be purchased through Amazon (United States) as I live right beside a distribution center and get awesome shipping.

OS/Accessories not required

The current idea -

CPU: Intel Core i3-6300 3.8GHz Dual-Core Processor ($157.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: MSI H110M Pro-VD Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($54.04 @ Amazon)
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-2133 Memory ($42.91 @ Amazon)
Storage: Kingston HyperX Fury 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($53.21 @ Amazon)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($58.73 @ Amazon)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 950 2GB Superclocked Video Card ($149.27 @ Amazon)
Case: Corsair 100R ATX Mid Tower Case ($64.29 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply ($37.48 @ Amazon)
Total: $617.92
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

I realize that the SSD is not a necessity - this was user requested and non-negotiable.

Any suggestions?

Go for the i3-6100 and a better quality power supply. I'd also get a better SSD and a RX 460. Go for a B150 board instead of H110. You'll get some more expansion for future upgrades. For a micro-ATX build I'd go with the N200 case. Can't go wrong with that one.

This is why I love this community. Great suggestions! It's so tough to keep track of current price trends.
