I5 6600K or i7 6700K with a Z170 board that will set you up on that end for about 4/5 years. You will also need new DDR4 memory. You can sell your CPU, board, and memory.
I would probable keep the video card and see what comes out next year.
I think the GPU should be good enough for high settings on games for a little bit... somewhere in the ballpark of a GeForce GTX 9 series card.

As for the CPU, if you wanna keep it cheap, get an FX 8350 (if your board can support it, didn't check) and sell the 6300 for $50 or something. ($100)

Ideally, I'd go with an i5 6500 or better, depending on the budget. AMD FX is certainly good for it's price, but not for it's overall performance when compared to other CPU's for certain. You can keep the CPU cooler too if you kept the LGA 1151 mounting brackets. (Also of course you need the motherboard and most likely, DDR4 RAM)

Move to Intel if you wanted to upgrade your CPU/Mobo situation. Its more expensive and I am a fan but benchmarks don't lie. Intel dominates in the high end market. GPU wise though I couldn't recommend Nvidia's new 1060/1070/1080 series more. Performance per dollar they have killed it with this generation. I have used both AMD and Nvidia and so far Nvidia has impressed me the most over the past two years.

As said above, if you plan on upgrading, you might as well buy a Z170 mobo and pair it with an i5 6500 as then you can have room for an i7 if need be. The AM3+ socket really should've died a long time ago and it has no future.
