Intel doesn't make specific processors for specific brands, that just wouldn't be worth it it would require them to change their die recipe, thats expensive and complicated. Like I said its likely a take off from a server thats being repurposed. I'm 100% sure it will work on any motherboard that...

Yeah, Im in canada so I picked a US reference, usually when I happen upon them they all say compatibility and then list dell computers but. my gut tells me that it should fit anything but thought someone else might have better info.
