Blank screen after installing new GPU. Not even bios.

Hi,
I just installed a GTX 590 in my PC and I don't get anything on the screen when I boot.
If there s already a sticky post for that kind of issue let e apologize, I googled it and didn't find any but please post the link if there is one.
So my PC has an integrated GPU but the bios is set to boot on PCI Express.
I was using another GPU until know and it was working perfectly fine.
With the new GTX 590, the pc seems to boot normally, I don't get any beeps from the motherboard pc speaker. The CPU and GPU fans are spinning. The GTX 590 led logo on the card lights up.
The GPU is an Elsa Gladiac GTX 590, it has 3x DPI and 1x mini Display Port.
I tried connecting the monitor to each of them but no luck. I even tried connecting to the motherboard's iGPU DVI port but it doesn't seem to be active.
The GTX 590 needs 2 x 8 pin PCI Express power. I have a 750W PSU with dedicated native PCI 6/8 pin express power.
I don't have any drives connected, it s just the mobo, ram, cpu+cpu cooler and the GTX 590

Here are my thoughts.

1) I don't think it s a Power issue since usually when there is a power issue, the PC would either not boot, boot and beep or boot and then shutdown aftera few seconds. I don't have any of those symptoms. The PSU has dedicated PCI express 8pin so it looks like it should be fine.
2) I don't think it s an issue of the mobo using the iGPU instead of the dGPU since I was using it with another dGPU and it was working. I even tried the iGPU DVI port while the GTX 590 is connected just in case but it was also not outputting anything
3) I don't have any drives connected and I don't even get to the bios so it has nothing to do with drivers

So here are what I think could be the potential issue:
A) For some reason the motherboard is not compatible with the GTX 590? I ve never had any GPU / mobo compatibility issue in my long life as a pc builder but who knows
B) My monitor is not compatible with the GTX 590? Again I highly doubt it but could be the case.
C) The GPU is dead.

Sadly C) seems to be the most likely reason but if you have any idea please let me know.

Hello,
I recently sold a Nitro+ 470 to someone with an Intel rig. When he plugged the card on the motherboard, the fans of the card would spin, but nothing would come up on the display. When he took off the card, he would have something on the display through the iGPU of the motherboard.
He had to update his BIOS with @bios to make it work.
So have you tried to update the BIOS?

Thank you for your input. However as I mentionned, I don't even get to the bios so I think it s unrelated.
A GPU doesn't need a drive to boot to the bios.

Because when you did have BIOS, you set it to use the PCIe x16 slot, it won't use your integrated graphics, and a graphics card needs drivers to work period.
Are the drivers installed on you hard drive? Are you willing to try with the hard drive installed?

Hi guys,
Thank you all for your inputs. I fixed the problem! What I did is that I used my previous GPU to boot in windows, update the motherboard's bios. Then I switched the graphics card and I was able to boot in windows but I had the lower resolutions available.
Windows update automatically found the appropriate driver, I rebooted and voila everything worked fine!
So something to add to your "won't post with new GPU" checklist :
-update the motherboard's bios
