Worth waiting to buy a new gpu to come out in 2017? I have a 980ti and was wondering if it was worth waiting for a new nvidia gpu coming out in 2017 or getting a 1080 Christmas time, thanks

980ti is not ready to be upgraded, yet. If you do upgrade to a 1080 then add some strong placebo pills to your purchase. You'll need them to be sure this was a good purchase.

980ti is still a killer card. Wait at least a year.
