Hello, Community!! This is my first post

I have 2 R7 370s and i want to crossfire them, however when i do it says that "The AMD CrossFire internal bridge interconnects linking your graphics cards together are not properly attached. Both bridge interconnects must be attached. For more information, see the user's guide for your graphics card."

My cpu is an i5 6500 and the max no. of pcie express lanes is 16
I noticed on my motherboard (Gigabyte z170-hd3) that has 2 pcie 3.0 x16 slots with the first one running at x16 and the second at x4. I know that crossfire can still run like this, but the fps would be worse than only one graphics card.

is it my cpu that doesnt allow me to link the cards together because of the max no. of express lanes, or is there a way to run both slots on the MB at x8/x8 config (by using the bios), or is there another reason to why i cant crossfire?

Thanks.

nothing to do with your cpu

thats a mobo deficiency, and no you really dont want to crossfire with a card only running at x4
