So I finally purchased all of the parts for my new build and come to find out that the Corsair H90 won't quite fit into my mini-itx case. I did find, however, that my be quiet! Silent Wings 2 120mm fan would fit with the 140mm radiator of the H90, albeit the fan would lie closer to the radiator since the edges of the fan and radiator don't line up. My question is this, would I see a significant drop in performance if I used the Silent Wings over the 140mm fan? They have about the same static pressure, and I scratched the edges of the radiator a bit when trying to jam it in there with the 140mm fan, which is why I'm hesitant to return it. Thanks!

Solution
It might be about 20% poorer since 120mm fan covers about 80% of the radiator.

But to know for sure, you must test it out by yourself.

I'm aware. I found a way to jerry-rig it to the case so that the radiator and fan would be mounted to each other. Didn't know how much poorer the cooling would be with this config though
