So I bought a new GPU (Sapphire RX 480 4GB) to replace my old GPU (nVidia Geforce 9300GE) I am getting a black screen on startup with no startup audio either and my monitor isn't sensing a signal. Also, my PC seems to restart itself once about 30 seconds after I turn it on.
When the RX 480 is plugged in, the L.E.Ds work aswell as the fans. My old GPU still works fine. I have uninstalled old drivers and installed the new ones. The power pins are all connected too. I can't check to see if the PC is detecting the RX 480 because I also get the same black screen etc even when graphics are being processed through the motherboard.
It is possible it could be a software issue with my motherboard as there hasn't been any updates on it since 2011 but a program I am using from Foxconn says it is up to date. I have tried manually updating, but I am not sure how becase A) CMD lists 3 different motherboard models and I can't find out which one it is exactly B) I am not sure how to use the update files, it just says 'This app cannot run on your PC'.
