So basically, I'm on windows 10, and I can link specs etc etc but I don't think it's relevant right now. But anyways, as of the past week whenever I try to update a game on either steam or battle.net, the download begins, then instantly the download speed goes to 0, and randomly restarts and goes to 0 again. I assume it is a disk problem, as my disk usage is always 99-100%. This screenshot depicts what's happening http://imgur.com/a/LTG0F http://imgur.com/a/2SExu

Hey there, @Sbsb89!

I'd recommend doing some troubleshooting to rule out any software as the source of the issue. I'd suggest you check your HDD usage when these applications are not being run. Does the 100% usage spike again then?
You should also see if disabling these Windows Services (Superfetch & BITS) will help you with the problem resolution.

If they don't, try running the sfc /scannow command , too. It will scan the integrity of all protected system files and replace any incorrect versions.

I'd also second @DeadRam's suggestion about the diagnostic utility . It will help us determine the health and SMART status of your drive.
Give these a try and let us know how it goes!
