I have been experiencing frequent fps drops in Need For Speed Most Wanted (2012) on 1080p. I'm pretty sure this isn't suppose to happen with an old game, AND not in FHD. No throttling or CPU bottleneck either. Temperatures of CPU and GPU are low, no high usage/bottleneck. MSI Afterburner settings are all in default. Heaven Benchmarks are normal too.
Please advice. Thanks.

CPU : i5 6500
Cooler : Cryorig C7
GPU : MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X
RAM : HyperX Fury 8GBx2
PSU : Corsair SF600

Solution
Pretty sure Most Wanted 2012 is quite poorly optimised. Since you didn't mention which settings you run and how much fps you're actually seeing, I can only guess. Try more games and test your GPU with synthetic benchmarks like 3DMark Firestrike.
