This really should be posted on EA's Forum but when i go there it's 100% empty i don't know why. but here's my problem I have a partitioned hard drive E for my OS and core programs (70gigs) and C for everything else including games (400 gigs) i installed origin to C but whenever i download a game off origin, it tries to install it to E, so at first i was like no big deal ill just move it to C and everything will be fine, but when i do that origin doesn't detect it

Solution
Origin doesn't detect your C drive? What do you mean? Open origin, click origin at the top, click application settings, click the installs and saves tab, change the game library location to C drive in the windows explorer window that opens when you click change folder. It cat be in the root of C so make a new folder in the c drive and select that.

His issue is the OS is on E, and the Origin client is on C.
It defaults to installing on the OS drive, not necessarily something called 'C'.

seriously, All of these will not work unless your going to explain to him step by step how to create sym links among drives.

what you need to do is, go into orgin
Go to your settings
Change install location to the drive you want
now CLOSE ORGIN, EXIT IT
Browse to where you had your game installed
RENAME your previous game folder, for example, battlefield 1, the root folder rename to anything
now open orgin
This will start installing, You will see it at the bottom
run for 5-10 seconds (Creates orgin files in new location)
CLOSE ORGIN, EXIT IT COMPLETELY
now navigate to your old version, the on you renamed
Copy the entire game folder contents
Navigate to your new instillation directory, where you want the games to go
Find the game folder for your game
open it, PASTE all the contents of your old game on the previous drive
if asks you to replace folders and files, Replace any that are existing currently when windows asks

NOW. open orgin, orgin will look for the games, Find them, it might say installing, this is orgin just reading the files, Give it 5 mins and you can play any of your games like normal.
