Can I install ram without laying computer down?

I am just adding 2 more 4gb sticks to my PC and I'm too lazy to unplug every single cable from my computer. Can I just put in the sticks while the computer is upright?

You can add RAM in any orientation you are comfortable with. Laying the PC down simply makes it easier for most people to work on the PC and see what they are doing.

You can, but make sure the PSU is switched off - like InvalidError said, it's easier to lay the system down as you get a better view, plus if it's been a while since you done any maintainence to your PC, it's a good excuse to tidy all the cables and give it a quick clean too!
