Is there a particular Disc drive I need in order to install PC games? I've seen multiple but I'm not sure if they actually read the disc and install 'DOOM' for example on my PC.

basically all of the generic USB external disc drives available will install to your PC; for better read/write speeds go for a good quality Samsung one or any other from such a reputable brand.
