My current CPU cooler is starting to make clicking noises, so I'm looking to upgrade. I've heard a lot of good things about Noctua, so I'm leaning towards one of their coolers. My question is, can I support a Noctua DH-14 or DH-15? I have a large enough motherboard, but I also have Corsair Vengeance RAM.

Will either of those two coolers fit in the two fan configuration? If not, are either of them good enough to run with one fan? If not, is there another air cooler that will fit and give me similar results?

+1 for Hlsgsz's recommendation for the r1 universal (there are two versions, the ultimate will have some conflict). Another option might be the thermalright true spirit 140 power but it's a tall cooler at around 171mm and doesn't fit in many cases. It's a single tower single fan cooler that compares with the nh-d14. The ts140 power is cheaper (around $50) compared to others but the others may be more compatible with the case you've got or better looking aesthetically.

The r1 universal cools about the same as the nh-d14 as well. Nh-d14 was 72.5c with an oc'd i7, the r1 universal was at 72.58c. Noise level difference, 2db between them.

The vengeance ram are a pia for most coolers unless water cooling. Unfortunately they're ridiculously tall and didn't give an option to remove the ram sink fins like gskill's trident x.
