Hi, I recently recieved a replacement graphics card after my old one finally kicked the bucket, luckily i was still JUST within my 3 year warranty.

Initially i had problems with this card not getting past boot. Read that there was a known issue between my motherboard (Z77-D3H) and GTX 970. Solution was to flash the bios, which I did and all was fine and dandy for a little while.

Then i started getting the dreaded BSOD:

On Wed 14/09/2016 21:18:04 GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\091416-6957-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x6F400)
Bugcheck code: 0x1A (0x41790, 0xFFFFFA800588AAA0, 0xFFFF, 0x0)
Error: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This indicates that a severe memory management error occurred.
This might be a case of memory corruption. More often memory corruption happens because of software errors in buggy drivers, not because of faulty RAM modules.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

Updated to latest Nvidia driver and that seemed to subside, though i dont think I've actually addressed the issue with that update, wasn't an ancient driver, was 1 revision behind.

Most recently I've been experiencing crashes to a solid colour while playing world of warcraft. The entire screen goes a single colour. Pink, yellow and white I've had so far, I'm not overly keen on adding to this repertoire.

I read a thread saying that reducing your clock speed by 25Mhz can alleviate this issue, so I downloaded Asus GPU tweak. Just to note, I havent overclocked this card at all, I don't bother with overclocking, my opinion being: it's not worth the headache and potentially reduced lifespan of equipment for a little extra performance.

So why am I posting? Basically before i press anything i would just like some advice, either within GPU tweak or another solution completely removed from this train of thought.

When I opened it the memory clock says 7010 Mhz, which seems insanely high to me, there's a little side screen that states the memory value should be 1753Mhz, though this may be something different. Probably best if i just post a screenshot:

Thanks for reading

Solution
That memory speed is perfectly normal. Some display in different ways, due how DDR speeds can be interpreted.

I would return the card again, sounds like you have another dodgy one to be honest.

Damn, I was worried that might be the case. My warranty for the original product will have expired now, do you have any idea where I stand in terms of getting the replacement product replaced?

Cheers for your response.
