Is it safe to use a two pin plug PSU with a three pin adapter?

I purchased an EVGA G2 550W PSU from a UK online retailer however they are shipping a two pin PSU

Are you talking about the main power cable to the wall?

If so I highly recommend AGAINST using an adapter, and instead contact EVGA they can send you the correct power cable, or just go to your local computer shop they should have a proper power cable. The connection on the PSU is standard, and it switches internally for the voltage.

Depends on what you mean by a two-pin PSU - if it's a two-pin mains cable (Live and Neutral only) then that's not recommended as all PSUs need to have an earth/ground connection.
