Take a look at the article he posted. The i3 demolishes the 6300, this is a known fact. You would need to overclock the heck out of it just to keep up.

The i3 6100 is close to equal to an FX-6300 in anything that can perfectly use all 6 of the FX's cores, and is significantly faster in anything that can't. Many games these days can put 6 (or more) cores to work doing something, but most of those cores will only be partially utilized, making the i3 a far better gaming CPU.
If that weren't enough, the i3 matches or beats the FX while using half the power, on a platform that has M.2, USB 3.1, PCIe 3.0 and DDR4, while having really significant drop-in upgrades in the form of i5's and i7's. More, socket 1151 will be receiving at least 2 more generations of CPUs, whereas AM3+ received its last new CPU design in 2012.
