Memory Options For Intel Core i7 6700k

Okay so building a new PC, Specs you need to know:
CPU: Intel Core i7 6700k
MOBO: Asus Z170-A
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32gb (2x16gb) at 2666mhz

The problem is on the intel website it says the max clock for the cpu is only 2133mhz, my question is would the ram still be fine with this cpu?

A 6700K has a stock level of 2133, most all 6700K can run up through at least 2666 or 2800 DRAM while at stock, 2800 and above though may require a bit of a CPU OC, it depends on the individual CPU

If you were to buy RAM that is rated for clockspeeds that are too high for your CPU to run stable at (e.g. DDR4 3666 or something), you could simply run the RAM at a lower clockspeed.

Thats what i was thinking of doing i just didnt want to purchase some crazy 3200mhz ram only to downgrade it

3200 shouldn't be a problems, as mentioned may need a bit of a CPU OC, I just upgraded my 6600K to a 64GB set of 3200/14

Skylake+DDR4 seems very forgiving on speed. I managed 3000 totally stock and stable after hours of gaming and stability tests. Might depend a bit on chip on the IMC might need a bump if struggling?
