Hi im planning to buy new headphones and i was wondering if my motherboard supports 7.1 audio here's the model
asus P8H61-M LE/CSM (LGA1155)

I dont see that listed in the specs but dont let that stop you. Many 7.1 headsets are USB and don't use your soundcard. They have their built into the headset itself.
