I know this has been asked before, but most of the other posts are from 2014/2015 so I thought I'd ask again.
I have an amd R9280x and am looking to upgrade my CPU (and motherboard/RAM if needed) for gaming. I mostly play League, Tomb Raider, Skyrim, etc.. Right now I have this:
GPU: r9 280x
CPU: intel g3460
mobo: asrock h97M pro4
RAM: 2x4GB DDR3
This build was recommended to me, but I wanted to double check that everything would be compatible / no bottlenecking before I move forward:

I'd like to avoid having to upgrade again soon, and to stay under or around $300 total. Any other comments/recommendations are much appreciated!
