Is there any way to store steam games and games in general on an HDD, but temporarily transfer them to my SSD to play, then transfer back? I'm guessing not but I don't want to store my games on an SSD for space reasons.

Solution
No, sadly not.

I can say this though, unless your HDD is running at a lower rate than 7200 RPM, you won't notice any real difference unless you're loading up games with really long loading screens like Victoria 2 or Europa Universalis.

Usually a slow process to move between drives anyway.

For games that aren't open-world or load a lot of data into RAM when starting, there's little difference. Honestly, the only one that I've really noticed a significant difference moving from HDD to SSD was Forza (it stuttered on 7200 RPM HDD).
