how do i know if my motherboard is compatible with the gtx 1060?

I have an acer aspire tc-705 I think I need a better power supply and maybe a new motherboard can anyone help? budget is around 50 dollars (CAD) for the power supply if possible.

The motherboard will work if it has a PCIe x16 slot, which yours does. However, your PSU isn't good enough, seeing as its only 300W. The minimum recommended wattage for a GTX 1060 is 400W. I understand you have a small budget, but I wouldn't trust a really cheap PSU.
