Hello, I made my first build and everything was running just fine. I've been using the build for one week, until yesterday I changed a setting (enabled fastboot) in the motherboard and hit exit and save changes.
What happened was that something appeared saying updating BIOS, then I heard two beeps and now the computer won't boot (not even to BIOS). It just keeps rebooting itself 7 seconds after trying to power on, I can't see anything on the screen, doesn't even get to the Gigabyte logo when booting, so my guess was that the BIOS got corrupted. After research I found several solutions, since the mobo I have counts with a DualBIOS from Gigabyte.
I see the case going on (the fans and the PSU) and the CPU fan tries to start and fails to move (I see it twitch a little). And the computer finally turns off and then repeats the loop again by itself. Also it has an internal speaker which now make no sound at all.
This is the build I'm using:
Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor
Gigabyte GA-H170-GAMING 3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory
A-Data Premier SP550 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Toshiba 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Zotac GeForce GTX 1060 6GB AMP! Edition Video Card
EVGA 500W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply
I've googled a lot and found different solutions. So what I've done so far:
1) Reset the CMOS in different ways.
-Shorting the two pins
-Removing the battery for couple of seconds, and even an hour.
2) Trying to force the backup bios to kick in.
-Holding reset and power button for 10 seconds
-While PSU off, turning on the PSU while holding the power button of the case, then back off the PSU in a second, and finally back on and trying to turn on the computer
3) Unplugging one stick of ram leaving the primary slot with only 1 stick.
4) Disconnecting the hard drives
5) Disconnecting the graphics card
The good thing is that I bought this literally one week ago, so maybe I can get a replacement for the mobo, but I would prefer if there was a fix.
If anyone has had the same issue I would be very thankful to receive any help.
