Hi all,
I have recently purchased a PC and along with it have a new monitor (specifically an Acer Predator XB281HK). I had initially run a DVI to HDMI to connect the monitor to my rig, but wanted to use a Display Port connection, as I understand G-Sync doesn't work over HDMI, only DP. As the PC was bought to play the latest games (as was the monitor), not using G=sync seems a little ridiculous!
However, as soon as I plug in a DVI to DP cable, I keep getting "no signal" on the monitor (it's fine when I switch it back to HDMI). I have changed the settings in the Nvidia control panel, as I read that it had to be changed to maximum performance for it to work, but it's made no difference. I wasn't able to use the cable that came with the monitor, as that was a DP to DP cable, while my graphics card only has a DVI output (it is a GTX 1080).
Any assistance would be appreciated!
