Return keyboard with whining noise on brightness settings?

Just bought a Logitech G610 and when it's not on either full brightness or no backlighting then there's a whining noise coming from it. I've had it for a few weeks and actually really like the keyboard but the full brightness setting is very bright at night. Is there a workaround for this? I saw a few reviews saying this before I bought it but assumed they had a bad batch.

The power is regulated to your keyboard via a capacitor. If the unit is making a whine when you have it set to a particular brightness then you should, on grounds for having a faulty unit, RMA it.
