As the title says, my old laptop had a usb that had this blue piece in there. I would plug my mouse in there all the time and recently when I got a new desktop, I tried plugging it in and it wouldn't even fit.

Looking inside I saw a blue piece in the USB side of my mouse. And on my laptop, the same port I plugged it into had the blue piece missing (the others had them, this one didn't).

Does anyone know any way of getting the piece out of the usb? It's pretty stuck in there ...

my suggestion, gg the computer wins, best result would be to buy a new mouse, take the mouse to a jewler, tech, or phone repair, someone who works with small tools, tip em good they will help you out.

open the laptop, take out the motherboard, the outer shell of the usb will be easily plyable and you can then wedge it out no problem. otherwise if thats to much, I know you can get a usb hub at walmart for like 8 bucks. pop that in a USB and use those till you get around to it,.
