What phone to get when my contract expires?

Hey Guys

I'm in a bit of a quandary here. My contract ends in December and Im looking to get a new phone, I currently have an IPhone 5s. What phone would you recommend for me to get? I do like Iphone's but im not so keen on how apple have gone with the IPhone 7.

Which android handsets provide the same or if not better performance and run a nice clean version of android, I personally dont like samsungs version of android,

I like the moto Z. However if you want the purist of pure android Google will release their new "Pixel" Phone early next month. Google's current nexus phones run stock android with good hardware and get all of the updates first. The upcoming pixel phones are just google renaming their nexus phones.

I've just had a little look at the pixel and its rumoured specs . The Pixel XL looks very nice.

Heres what I found

According to Android Police, the Pixel and Pixel XL will pack quite a punch in the specs department.

The Pixel XL will have a 5.5in 2,560 x 1,440 AMOLED display with a quad-core Qualcomm processor, 4GB of RAM, USB Type-C, rear-facing fingerprint reader, 12-megapixel rear camera and a 8-megapixel front-facing one. It will also have a beefy 3,450mAh battery and standard 32GB of storage, with the option to upgrade to a 128GB if needed.

I have always been a fan of google's Nexus phones I have had a 5 And still have a 6 and original 7 tablet. the fast and frequent updates are quite niche because most manufacturers don't do monthly security patches. So Nexus/Pixel phones are more secure than others.
