So I built a monster of a PC about a year around. And it was the perfect machine when I first built it.

But now it is having a hard time turning on, all the lights on the motherboard will turn on, all the things plugged into USBs will turn on (keyboard, mic, mouse). Yet the ACTUAL tower WILL NOT boot up, no fans spin, no nothing.

I usually have to unplug the psu (which I bought refurbed), wait 15 seconds, plug it back in, wait about 40 minutes, then turn it back on. Then it works wonderfully, no issues at all until it goes into hibernate or is turned off again. If it sits all night then it will turn on in the morning like normal.

BUT lately it will turn off by itself and I won't be able to turn it on until I unplug the psu and do the normal waiting.

I did change the motherboard and it is still doing it. Does this sound like a PSU problem? or does this sound like something else? I feel like it just might be getting old, its a refurbed corsair ax750.

Sounds like a PSU problem. your best bet is to borrow another pc form someone and use it to test parts.

I have a similar problem but only when it rains. Because I live in Hawaii the average humidity is 80% and 90% when raining. If you live in an area of high humidity that might be the problem. If not than I would guess PSU.

Can you think of any other possibilities? Since I changed mobo, I feel like there isn't anything else it could even be. I live in northern Michigan so not very humid at all. Thanks for the opinion though.
