First time using a supermicro board.
Xeon E3 1231v3 and an OEM nVidia 405 card.
When powering it on, all the fans power on but I get what sounds like 3 beeps followed by a higher pitched beep. No video.
I seem to have trouble finding beep codes on the SuperMicro site but from web searches it seems SuperMicro has a habit of shipping v1 bios and often updating the bios is needed to work with modern CPUs.
I downoaded a bios update but it looks like it requires DOS - I was MacOS until 98 and when I switched to Linux, I literally don't have DOS nor am I familiar with it. Is there a place to download a DOS image that can put on a USB stick?
This board also supports IPMI. Is there maybe a Linux IPMI client I can use to update the bios from my CentOS laptop?
Thank you for suggestions.
