GTX 1060 Low GPU Usage on some games, 100% on others

I bought a GTX 1060 G1 Gaming 6GB hoping to get +60fps on my games. In BF4 and Battlefront my GPU usage stands about 85/100% and the games run smoothly. Benchmarks as well. But on other games, like Insurgency and Cities: Skylines my GPU usage is always below 50%(and FPS always below 60)! And I don't know why. I installed again my old GTX 650ti and GPU usage was up to a 100% all the time.

I tried a lot of things, reinstalled the drivers, the card, the games, tried different configurations, energy settings, everything. And nothing works.

I'm really furious with the card. I should use RMA? (I live in Brazil, so this kind of service is very unlikely to be good).

CPU - Intel I5 4430 3.0ghz
GPU - GTX 1060 G1 Gaming 6gb
Ram - Corsair 8GB(1x8GB)
HD- 1TB HDD
Monitor - 60hz
PSU - Corsair 500w

Two games you mention are CPU heavy. CPU can only produce sufficient frame data to use half the 1060 power. In simple terms.

The 650ti is very weak in comparison and thus probably becomes limiting factor.

My CPU is not handling the GTX 1060(I don't think so, but i'm a noob)? I'm concerned cause with the 650ti I got solid 60FPS on Insurgency, with CPU usage below 60%. With the 1060 my FPS are below 60 and CPU usage continues below 60%.

Hm OK something else is wrong then. Did you uininstall previous drivers completely? Using DDU.

What's the exact model of the PSU and Motherboard?

The only thing i could think of is the power supply. It needs upgraded anyways so i'd give that a shot

The main reason your GPU is only at 50% on City Skylines and Insurgency is because
those games are more CPU dependent. Therefore favoring your CPU more than your GPU.

Sorry if i'm being annoying, but my CPU usage on Insurgency is always around 30%/50%. And with the GTX 650ti I got 100% GPU usage(and 50/60FPS).

Cities I think it's really my CPU. Always at a 100% usage.

Well keep in mind that the 650 Ti is way weaker than the GTX 1060

I think you should upgrade your processor
