Hi Guys,

Yesterday my PC froze out of nowhere. I restarted by holding the power button (the machine didn't react to anything), but after that it wouldn't boot anymore. It posts, and then flashes some dashes or underscores, but won't start windows after that.

If i look in the bios it sometimes detects my ssd (samsung 850 evo), and sometimes it doesnt.
The problem also occurs when the bios DOES detect the drive.

I've tried to do a system repair using a windows install on USB, but that tells me that the PC can't be repaired.

Does anbody know what to do here?

Solution
Start by checking the conections to the SSD and then see if your USB ISO can offer you Command Prompt so you can type
chkdsk /r
and press Enter to run Checkdisk with the "fix" switch. Borrow a DVD of the vwersion of Windows you're running if you can.
