bought a new mobo and case what about my HDD?

im about to switch mobos and case, do i need to erase my HDD or anything? I have one 500gb HDD and one 2tb HDD

It's not that simple.

There is no 100% either way. It may boot up, it may not.
And then there is the whole licensing and activation thing.

It should boot up, there is no reason why it wouldn't, they would just need to reactivate windows because when you change your motherboard the OS recognises it as a new PC, he wouldn't have to wipe his hdd

Quite often, the OS will not boot up upon seeing new hardware.
If you've never seen this, then you just haven't tried it enough times.

Win 10 is better than earlier Windows, but it is still not 100%. It might, it might not.
