My specs are

Processor : i5 6600k
Motherboard : Asus Sabertooth z170 mark 1
Ram : HyperX Fury 32gb (bought 1 package with 4 sticks)
GPU : GTX 1080

System will boot only with 16gb inserted on the first 2 slots from the left. When i insert 4 sticks no post at all.
Tried MemOk nothing
Tried enabling XMP with 2 sticks and then putting the next 2 , still nothing.

Last post code is 0041.
The led indicator moves from DRAM to CPU and stays there untill it restarts.

Cpu cooler is h55 from corsair. Ill try the thing with the screws when i get home. Regarding dual chanell and quad chanell i had no idea that i5 6600k didnt support it. Am a a novice when it comes to ram so i checked with my motherboard and it supported 4 sticks of the specific ram and pcpartpicker showed no incompatibility so i bought them.

Four sticks is fine, and if using four - all run in dual channel mode. It doesn't matter if a set is advertised dual, tri, quad. Each stick is an individual 64bit device. The MC (memory controller) in the CPU makes the determination of how the DRAM will run depending on how placed.

Well the thing with the cpu cooler screws didnt work. From my understanding when i turn xmp with 2 8gb sticks(16gb) in bios and restart with 4 sticks connected, ram check at post passes but the led indicator gets stuck at cpu and a boot loop persists untill i remove 2 sticks . Should i overclock my cpu or turn voltages on or something? Plug and play with 4 sticks of ram obviously aint so playfull :)

Its a single package with 4 sticks inside. Last two numbers from a serial number on the back of each stick also goes from 58 to 61. Any way i place the sticks they should work right ? No specific order or smthing ?

Hello again. Ive managed to get 32gb working in a single chanell mode by completely disabling DIM chanel 1 . In my motherboard BIOS settings under DRAM Timings when you go at the end of the page there is an option to disable this. I disabled only one part of dimm chanell and 3 sticks worked , 4 didnt. By completely disabling the chanell i managed to get by post and enter windows as we speak with 32gbsat cl 15 with 2400mhz speed. But in a single chanell mode not dual. Maybe am doing something wrong but at least everything works now.

From my understanding i have cpu issue. Cant be anything else. Dram slots work but when both chanells are activate there goes the problem again. And i am not using 32gb i think. Windows shows me 16gb as ram and 2 slots used.

It was a bended pin on the cpu socket. good thing it was not damaged just bended. Took a toohpick , a cell phone under ultra white light , found a place to stabalize the video so it can focus and the operation begun:) hold my breath as much as i could and brought the pin to its position with reference the ones next to it. Surely its not perfect fix but at least the pin got back to its position and now cpu does its job properly. I can consider my self lucky and wreckless at the same time. Could easily damage the cpu socket but all good. I would defenetly not recommend this to anyone. I would take it the next day to a repair shop and leave it up to them with proper tools and skills.

Yep, bent pins can be a PITA, you tend to get more comfortable doing it after doing a number of them, but it's still a pain - I advise client to video opening mobo boxes and the initial check of the socket, as mobo makers just seam to immediately blame users for bent pins

This build is my first one so i can consider my self extremely lucky. And there is a chance things can still go wrong. I mean at a point ill have to install a better cpu cooler so theres still a risk for shit hitting the fan.. Next time ill be 1000x more focused at the start of the build. Especially when it comes to cpu socket. I never realised how sensitive and how delicate is the architecture of the whole thing. Its never too late though :) . Still have the video , will upload at a point at full resolution 4k , for good clarity and as an example on how NOT to fix this issue. I will emphasise again that fixing this issue i had with my way was by far the worst choice i could make but thats me. Dont follow my foolishness.
