Hey,

I've got the newest version of the ASUS ROG GL552 laptop, about a week old, i7 processor with 12 gb RAM, 1 tb HDD, gtx 960m, etc. I was running at above 60 FPS easily yesterday at medium-high settings while playing BF4. But now I can't seem to get above 20-30, even on low settings. I think it may have something to do with the new windows 10 update I just had auto-installed, but I can't be sure. Does anyone know something about this? I don't understand at all.

Solution

I went back to the previous windows 10 version and it was back to normal.

Try updating your graphics driver also try to place the laptop on a solid structure.Check if the graphics is used by any other program(gpu z is good tool to monitor the load) .There are some bitcoins malware that works remotely on the system there by drastically reducing the system performance. Also have you installed any pirated games coz those thing usually comes with bitcoin miner viruses

I have the same problem. My specs are: i7 4790k, msi gaming 7 mb, 16GB vengeance, msi gaming gtx 970. In GeForce experience my optimal settings for BF4 were all ultra, and I ran at average of 100fps. Now, my optimal settings are some ultra, and some high, and an average fps of about 70. This is really making me wonder what the hell???????? This only changed after the last windows 10 update.
