Hey guys, I build a computer for my parents a while ago, and it has been having some problems lately.

At first, there was some weirdness whenever I unplugged the computer from the wall outlet. It usually wouldn't turn on afterwards, but then if I dug around, pushed connections in, pushed the graphics card in, etc it would turn on. I was never sure if it turned on because of what I did or if it just needed a certain amount of time.

Last time it happened I tested the psu and it was fine.

Now, however, their computer has stopped turning on, and this time for good.

How can I diagnose this problem? I am now living in a different state as them and they want me to fly back to fix the computer, which I really don't want to do but I may have to.

If you guys can give me advice or things I can tell them to do over the phone I'd be very grateful :)

Solution
it be cheaper for you if they mail it to you or looked for a local repair shop. a pc that wont post can be power..mb or another part. when a pc does what there did you need a few known good parts to swap in and out till it posts. also most good shops have post it cards to tell where the pc stops booting.
