Hi, my CPU is overheating (up to 100°c) and I'm not sure why. I have replaced the thermal paste and cleaned my computer with barely any trace of dust. I have an Intel i5 3570K, my motherboard is a Gigabyte H77M-D3H, my graphics card is a GTX 970, my RAM sticks are Dual-Channel DDR3 of 16GB (it says Super Talent on it), a PSU by Ultra (the model number is ULT-LS600), and a closed loop liquid cooler by Corsair (I don't know the specific model).

I'm not sure if this helps but when I try to run League of Legends, whenever I load in my screen would turn black and reboot. This also doesn't happen to any of my other games like Warframe.

Edit: The SSD is also new, I recently installed Windows 10 on it so that's not the problem.

Well overheating would result in shutdowns/reboots.

Your PSU doesn't sound very good, which may be an issue - but not likely to be the cause of overheating (but consider replacing it with a quality PSU anyway).

Reaching 100'C is not good. You replaced the thermal paste, did you fully secure the cooler? How much paste did you apply? It's not leaking out onto your motherboard, is it?

I have run into a problem like this, when I replaced the thermal paste the thermal did get on the bottom of the cpu a bit but I did clean it afterwards (no trace of it), there's also some thermal paste on the side. When I removed CPU I have also seen some marks on the bottom where if you move it a slight angle in the light it darkens in some spots, I know this is not the thermal paste due to it being there before I put it on.

Edit: The cooler is secured in tightly and when the temperature rises it take around 15-30 mins to reach that high of temperature.

Leaving it over the night apparently fixed it but my computer on the previous day was barely on. Plugging my computer to the wall outlet fixed my black screen and reboot problem. Thank you for the help though guys, I appreciate it :)!
