EDIT: I do not plan on playing on more then 1 monitor and will stick to 1080p for another couple years because there is really no point in me going to 1440p or 4k. I think I'll be going with the 1070 Strix non-OC BUT I might choice the 1080 non-OC Strix if thinks go to plan!
Thanks for the ideas, if anyone has anything else to say please do !!

1070 reference or factory OC'd
1080 reference or factory OC'd

Help me side, 200 dollar difference

Also have a 3rd monitor at 60hz only tho 24"
I do a lot of editing and rendering but only game on 1 monitor so I do want to feel like 144hz refresh rate.

I suspect a 1080 would handle multiple monitors better. especailly if he ever decided to split screen a game across the 2 main monitors in the future.

I don't think he intends to now, but you never know what may happen later on down the road.

I appreciate your guys help! Thanks

no need for the GTX 1080 for 1080p@144p
GTX 1070 will be much better.
As for the model, pick one that is closer to 400 as eventually they all perfrom the same.
EVGA 1070 SC black edition is like 420 - very quite and powerful card. My was running at 1960MHz before i touched anything.

Are you sure you are going to game on 2 monitors ?
it is very inconvenient.
for gaming, it is 1 or 3.
with two, you have bezel in the middle which is very annoying - especially in shooters.
so you kinda wasting your money :)
would you consider single 34" 3440x1440 monitor instead ?
a single GTX 1070 will be good for it, a GTX 1080 would be awesome.

I'm only going to be gaming on 1, I want the other for extra work space, I know it doesnt make sense to get a 144hz 1ms 27" for work space too but i want them matching lol, and I have a 60hz 24" for my ps4 beside it and also hooked up to the pc for workspace. so its kinda 3 monitors
