looking for the best card to get for maximum performance without bottle necking the i5 and wasting money. also wondering what kind of gains would i see from my current card.

right now some of the newer games i play leave a little to be desired. some even running in the 30 fps range with low graphics in demanding situations. i feel like the i5 is still pretty good but i'm not sure is it worth upgrading or should i should build a new system?.

Solution
for the 1080p monitor - GTX 1060 (3GB is fine, 6GB is better)
for the 1440p monotor - GTX 1060 6GB or GTX 1070
Your CPU is still fine for the moder games.
I'd wait at least for the next year to upgrade (new gen from both intel and AMD)
