I just installed a Corsair H100i v2 on my new rig so it can cool my 6850k. Originally, some idiot installed some garbage CPU cooler on it and I wanted to replace it. Thing is, my CPU is now booting at 88-98C and I'm both worried and frustrated. I don't think I missed instructions and the only thing that may have happened is i didn't do a super amazing job at getting all the old thermal paste off. I've alway ran off air and stock coolers in the past and never had this come up. Any help would be appreciated.

If you answered no, you remembered to take plastic cover off to Kagouris' question. Power on the AIO and see if you feel vibration that would suggest the pump is working. If you don't feel a vibration, your pump is dead and you will need to RMA that cooler.
