So to elaborate the above question, I'll be getting a new 1060 soon (Zotac Amp Edition or Gigabyte G1). And I would like to setup a triple monitor interface on it.

However, the catch here is that, I have 2 monitors with VGA input and one with DVI-D input. Although I have DVI-D to HDMI connector. So I just need to worry about these two VGA monitors.

So, question #1 is that, Do I need active adapters for DisplayPort to VGA ?

And #2, I currently have an HD 7770 and I am getting the third monitor maybe in the next 2 days with an active adapter since AMD makes it compulsory for the third monitor to be on displayPort with an active adapter because of lack of clocks. So should I buy this monitor now, or wait till I get the new GPU and use a different setup ?

PS - All these monitors will have different resolutions each(1920x1080 + 1280x1024 + 1366x768), I need these for work. I will be gaming only on the 1080p monitor.
Thanks.

I wont be able to do that since my MoBo's second PCIe port is x4 and not x16. Moreover I am selling the HD 7770 while getting the 1060.
