Will the cat5 cable absolutely not work past 333' or does the speed just get worse as the distance increases? I need to go 600

Solution

Due to the way it works, it is sort of time sensitive.
Send packet...receive packet..."OK, I got it"..."OK, sending the next one".
At 600 feet, the 'reply' takes too long.

Is this indoors, outdoors?

Depending on the cable and its construction, it would probably work past 100 meters. Maybe slower the farther you go.
600 feet on a single cable? Not likely.

So lets analyze your actual situation.
What are you actually trying to do? More detail is better.

I have 2 Allen Bradley PLC's that I am trying to transfer data between. The data is not time sensitive so I don't care how slow it is. Just that it will communicate.

If there is the possibility of an electrical outlet in the middle somewhere, just put an inexpensive switch at the 100 meter point.
2 x 100 meter Cat5e will work no problem.

Thusly:
PLC #1---100 meter cat5e----switch----100 meter cat5e---PLC #2
