I just installed a Samsung 750 evo on an older Asus P5K SE/EPU motherboard. It doesn't support AHCI is is sata II. The system is much snappier but want to make sure my benchmarks are in line:
Sequential reads/write : 260 MB/s
Random Read Iops: 9670
Random Write Iops: 22631

I have adjusted all the settings per Samsung Magician's recommendation, just curious if there is anything else to tweak.

Hey there dman535.

It really looks like an OK performance having in mind it's a SATA II system with no AHCI support. As performance enhancements for the drive itself you might want to check out this article: https://www.maketecheasier.com/12-things-you-must-do-when-running-a-solid-state-drive-in-windows-7/. Note that those tips are still viable for the newer versions of Windows as well. Other than that, skip the AHCI part (obviously), but note that TRIM should work with IDE as well (as long as you have Windows Vista or a newer version of Windows) as this is a OS related service.

Hope that helps.
